Report a station sending bad observations
It's our goal to help keep CWOP clean and accurate. We consider it a community effort to help owners of weather stations that are sending bad data fix their stations so they report accurate data.
What to report
Report as bad: Barometer • Temperature • Humidity/Dewpoint
Don't report the following as bad, unless it's an obviously bad sensor — these can
vary greatly depending on station location:
Rain amounts • Wind speeds/direction • Solar
radiation.
What happens next
The station owner and the maintainer of AmbientCWOP will receive and review your report. The station owner will be given 7 days to respond. If they don't respond with a resolution in that time, or haven't communicated a plan to fix the error(s) in a reasonable amount of time, the station will be suspended from reporting to CWOP until the error(s) have been resolved.
